About Me

My name is Megan Strand and I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor providing therapy services in Delta, Utah and online mental health therapy throughout the state of Utah. While I have a range of experience, I have a passion for working with youth, young adults, and families. I utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities, recognizing that every person has unique needs and may require an individually tailored approach to therapy. There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to therapeutic modalities. I often utilize interactive tools such as art therapy, play therapy, and physical activity in sessions and strive to create a supportive and empowering environment for my clients. I understand that starting therapy can be a challenging and life-changing journey, and I am committed to meeting you where you are at in your personal growth and healing process. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to do therapy. Therapy is a transformative experience, and I am here to help you navigate through it with compassion and understanding. As a lifelong learner, I am dedicated to staying up-to-date on the latest therapy techniques and information.

Outside of being a therapist, I love being outdoors! I enjoy horseback riding, fishing, camping, skeet shooting, playing sports, and spending time with my family and animals.

My Background and Experience

I was born and raised in Northern Utah and moved to Southern Utah in 2015 to attend college at Southern Utah University. I graduated with two Bachelors degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology with an emphasis in Human Services. In 2019 I moved to Alabama for graduate school and was there until everything went online in 2020 due to Covid-19 and I moved back to Utah. I graduated from the University of Montevallo with my M. Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My journey in mental health began when I worked with adolescents while in college. It is there that I found my passion for working with youth. I have worked in multiple mental health settings with all ages including outpatient, adolescent treatment centers, community mental health, and school counseling. I have experience with individual, group, and family therapy and have also assisted in equine therapy.
